With the nature of our Parish, our Faith Formation Program is second in numbers only to Sunday Liturgy.

"The definitive aim of Catechesis is to put people not only in touch, but also in communion and intimacy, with Jesus Christ."
POPE JOHN PAUL II

St. Catherine of Siena Parish has taken this commission to heart.  The young people of St. Catherine have a high priority in the ministry of the Parish.  From a weekly religious education program with special emphasis on Mass attendance, a full sacramental preparation calendar, encouraging activities such as Mission involvement, service projects, mini retreats participation in the yearly summer camp, contributing time and involvement with the need in the area, and taught by man and woman of faith, the youth of the Parish are provided with opportunities both to know and live the Catholic Faith.

An alternative Monthly Program, which is family based, offers the same as above with added dimension of parental involvement.  Parents and children come together once a month for classes.  Various priests in the area contribute to the program by offering teachings from the Catechism of the Catholic Church to the parents during the call time of the youngsters.  Parents are committed to teach their children for the following weeks of the month.  Those who participate in the monthly program experience a unifying effect in their family life as they share faith and prayer together.  The witness value for the children in seeing their parents participate in religious education program is very worthwhile.
